Ingredients

4 medium-sized russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, or bacon bits

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Start by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Prep the Potatoes: Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.

Season the Potatoes: Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking. Rub each potato thoroughly with olive oil, then sprinkle sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder evenly over the surface.

Air Fry: Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Ensure there’s enough space for air to circulate around them. Cook for 35-40 minutes, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.

Check for Doneness: After the cooking time, pierce a potato with a fork to check if it’s tender. If it’s not soft all the way through, continue cooking in 5-minute increments until done.

Serve: Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before slicing them open. Fluff the insides with a fork and add your favorite toppings like sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, or bacon bits.
