2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 tablespoon paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

Lemon wedges for serving

In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. This blend will create a flavorful blackening seasoning.

    Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the seasoning adhere better.

      In a separate small bowl, mix the olive oil with 1 tablespoon of the blackening seasoning. Reserve the rest of the seasoning for later.

        Brush the olive oil and seasoning mixture over the salmon fillets, making sure to coat both sides evenly.

          Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

            Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Ensure they are not overcrowded to allow for even cooking.

              Cook the salmon in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, depending on thickness and desired doneness. The salmon should easily flake when done.

                Remove the fillets from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

                  Serve the blackened salmon with lemon wedges on the side and sprinkle any remaining blackening seasoning on top if desired.
