Ingredients

2 pounds of fresh crab legs (snow crab or king crab)

1 cup unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Crab Legs: If needed, thaw the crab legs under cold running water. Use kitchen shears to cut through the shell on the top of each leg to make it easier to eat later.

Make the Butter Sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant, making sure not to burn the garlic. Stir in the lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.

Arrange the Crab Legs: Place the prepared crab legs in a large baking dish, ensuring they fit comfortably without overcrowding. Pour half of the butter sauce over the crab legs, coating them thoroughly.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to prevent the crab legs from drying out. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until heated through.

Broil for Extra Flavor (optional): For added richness, take off the foil, spoon some additional butter sauce over the crab legs, and place them under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until slightly browned and bubbly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with extra chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges and the remaining butter sauce on the side for dipping.
