Ingredients

4 large croissants

200g cooked ham, sliced

150g cheese (e.g., Gruyère or cheddar), sliced

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice each croissant in half lengthwise, making sure not to cut all the way through.

Spread Dijon mustard on the inside of each croissant half.

Layer the sliced ham evenly on the bottom half of each croissant, followed by the cheese slices.

If desired, sprinkle a bit of garlic powder and black pepper over the cheese.

Close the croissants gently and place them on the baking sheet.

Brush the tops of the croissants with the melted butter.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before garnishing with chopped parsley.
