Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 ounces bacon, cut into halves

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite variety)

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).

Prep the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Season the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Toss the shrimp in the seasoning mixture until well coated.

Wrap with Bacon: Take a half slice of bacon and wrap it around each shrimp, ensuring that the shrimp is fully covered. Secure with a toothpick if needed.

Coat with BBQ Sauce: Brush each bacon-wrapped shrimp with BBQ sauce, reserving some sauce for glazing later.

Grill the Shrimp: Place the wrapped shrimp on the grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp is fully cooked (should be pink and opaque).

Glaze and Serve: During the last minute of grilling, brush the shrimp with a little more BBQ sauce for an extra layer of flavor. Remove from the grill and let cool slightly.

Garnish and Enjoy: Transfer the shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
