Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked and crumbled ground beef (seasoned with salt and pepper)

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup milk

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.

Add Cheese and Beef: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled ground beef until evenly dispersed within the dry mixture.

Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter and milk together until well combined.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the milk and butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently using a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix; lumpy batter is okay.

Scoop Batter: Using a large spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the biscuit batter into the prepared baking dish. Ensure they have a bit of space between each scoop as they will spread during baking.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into a biscuit comes out clean.

Serve Hot: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 35 mins | Servings: 12 biscuits

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the biscuits warm on a rustic wooden board, garnished with extra cheese on top and fresh herbs such as chives for a pop of color. Pair with a side of warm marinara sauce for dipping if desired.
