1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 mini slider buns

4 slices cheddar cheese, cut in half

1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

1 large tomato, sliced into rounds

1/4 cup dill pickles, sliced

1/2 cup thousand island or burger sauce

Instructions
 

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine but do not overwork the meat.

      Shape the mixture into 8 mini burger patties, about 2 inches in diameter.

        Place the patties on the preheated grill or skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

          In the last minute of cooking, place half a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

            While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the mini slider buns on the grill or in a separate pan until golden brown.

              Assemble each burger by spreading a little thousand island sauce on the bottom bun. Top with a cheesy beef patty, a slice of tomato, a few pickle slices, and a generous amount of shredded lettuce, then add the top bun with a dab of sauce.
