Ingredients

1 large loaf of French bread

8 oz ribeye steak, thinly sliced

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the chopped onion and green bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.

Add the minced garlic and sliced ribeye steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked to your liking, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Slice the French bread in half lengthwise, and place on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.

Evenly spread the steak and vegetable mixture on both halves of the bread.

Top each half with a generous amount of provolone and mozzarella cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Once out of the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into portions.

Optional: garnish with chopped fresh parsley for an added touch.
