Ingredients

2 cans of crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Berry compote or fresh berries for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Roll Out the Crescent Dough: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it in the bottom of the greased baking dish. Press the seams together to form a solid layer.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, incorporating each thoroughly, followed by the vanilla extract, sour cream, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.

Spread the Filling: Pour the cheesecake filling over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Top with Second Dough Layer: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it over the cheesecake filling. Press the seams together gently to seal.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.

Cool and Slice: Allow the casserole to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares.

Serve: Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm or at room temperature. Pair with a berry compote or fresh berries for an extra touch!
