Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta

1 lb ground beef (80/20)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, diced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Sauté Veggies: To the skillet with the beef, add the diced onion. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until the onion is translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Combine Ingredients: Reduce the heat to low. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with the cooked beef and onions. Stir in the butter, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.

Add the Cheese: Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and creamy. If desired, add a splash of reserved pasta water for added creaminess.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and additional cheese if desired. Serve hot and enjoy the delicious cheesy goodness!
