Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 package refrigerated pizza dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

½ cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Sauté Vegetables: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Season the Mixture: Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another minute.

Add Cheese: Remove from heat and fold in the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese until fully incorporated.

Prepare the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle.

Fill the Dough: Spread the beef and cheese mixture lengthwise along the center of the dough, leaving about an inch on each end.

Roll It Up: Carefully roll the dough over the filling, starting from one side, tucking as you go, until you reach the end. Pinch the seams to seal.

Add Egg Wash: Place the Stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Make Slits: Using a sharp knife, make a few slits in the top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve: Let the Stromboli cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
