1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Olive oil spray (for baking)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese until well blended.

      In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and then add garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.

        Add the egg mixture to the cheese mixture and mix with a spatula until a dough forms.

          Using your hands, scoop out small portions of the cheese dough and roll them into bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter).

            Set up a dredging station: put flour in one bowl, beaten egg in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.

              Roll each cheese ball first in flour, then dip it in the egg, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs. Make sure each ball is well coated.

                Place the coated bites on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

                  Lightly spray the tops of the bites with olive oil to help them crisp up in the oven.

                    Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

                      Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

                        Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
