Ingredients

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 large egg, beaten

Oil for frying

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella, cheddar, and cream cheese until well incorporated.

Add the grated Parmesan, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper to the cheese mixture. Stir until fully combined.

Using your hands, scoop about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture and form a ball. Once shaped, press your thumb in the center to create a small hole.

Fill the hole with a small piece of your favorite cheese (like a cube of string cheese or a bit of blue cheese for a twist) and then seal the ball back up, making sure the filling is enclosed.

Repeat the process until all the cheese mixture is used, placing the stuffed balls on a baking sheet.

Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium heat. It should be about 350°F (175°C).

Dip each cheese ball first into the beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.

Fry the cheese balls in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Use a slotted spoon to remove the balls from the oil and drain on paper towels.

Serve warm and enjoy the melty interior!

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 12 cheese balls

                        - Presentation Tips: Arrange the cheese balls on a platter and serve with a side of marinara or ranch dressing for dipping. You can also garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or basil for a pop of color!
