Ingredients

1 cup cherry-flavored gelatin

2 cups boiling water

1 cup applesauce (unsweetened)

1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted

1 cup mini marshmallows

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Whipped cream for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the cherry-flavored gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.

Once the gelatin is dissolved, allow it to cool for about 15 minutes at room temperature.

Stir in the applesauce until well mixed.

Add the drained crushed pineapple, fresh or frozen cherries, mini marshmallows, and nuts (if using) to the gelatin mixture. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.

Pour the mixture into a mold or a large serving bowl. Ensure that it is evenly distributed.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the Jello is fully set.

Once set, you can slice it into portions if using a mold or serve directly from the bowl.

If desired, top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream before serving.
