Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup sour cream

1 cup cherry pie filling (canned or homemade)

Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar using a hand mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them about halfway.

In another bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and sour cream until smooth.

Gently spoon a dollop of the cream cheese mixture on top of each cupcake, followed by a scoop of cherry pie filling.

Use a toothpick or a small knife to gently swirl the cheesecake layer into the batter for a marbled effect.

Bake the cupcakes in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, top with additional whipped cream and a cherry on top if desired.

                          Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 45 mins | Servings: 12

                            - Presentation Tips: Arrange the cupcakes on a decorative platter. Drizzle some cherry sauce around them for a vibrant splash of color and garnish with mint leaves for a fresh touch.
