Ingredients
  

8 oz (about 225g) fettuccine pasta

2 cups broccoli florets

1 lb (about 450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain and set aside.

    Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Season the diced chicken with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes, or until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

        Add the Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Bring to a gentle simmer. Add the Italian seasoning, lemon zest, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

          Combine: Add the cooked fettuccine, broccoli, and chicken back to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

            Serve: Divide the pasta onto plates or into bowls. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley on top for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
