8 ounces spaghetti or fettuccine

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

4 strips of crispy bacon, chopped

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti or fettuccine according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

    Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet, add the sliced chicken, seasoning with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

        Prepare the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low, and return the cooked chicken and bacon to the skillet. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Combine the eggs and grated Parmesan cheese in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Slowly add the egg mixture to the skillet while stirring continuously to prevent scrambling the eggs.

          Combine the Pasta: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss well to combine. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.

            Season and Serve: Adjust seasoning with salt and more pepper, if desired. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if preferred.
