Ingredients
ย ย

2 large navel oranges

1 cup dark chocolate chips (70% cacao or higher)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Sea salt, for garnish

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (optional)

1 teaspoon orange zest (for extra flavor)

Instructions
ย

Begin by thoroughly washing the oranges. Pat them dry with a clean towel.

Slice the oranges into 1/4-inch thick rounds, removing any seeds you encounter. Arrange the slices on a paper towel to absorb excess moisture.

In a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth. If using a double boiler, stir occasionally until melted.

If desired, mix in the vanilla extract and orange zest for added flavor to the chocolate.

Dip each orange slice into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is completely coated.

Once coated, gently shake off any excess chocolate and place the slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a light pinch of sea salt over the top of each chocolate-covered orange slice.

Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for about 15 minutes, then place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until the chocolate is fully hardened.

Once set, carefully remove the slices from the parchment paper and store them in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
