Ingredients

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Sea salt for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Line an 8x8 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to make it easy to lift the fudge out later.

In a medium saucepan, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir over medium heat until melted and smooth.

Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt until fully combined.

If you want to add nuts, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans at this stage.

Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top for added flavor and garnish.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely set.

Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.
