Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled

1 (16 oz) bag frozen tater tots

1/2 cup green onions, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup additional shredded cheddar cheese for topping

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Evenly arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the chicken mixture. Make sure they are spread out so they cook evenly.

Sprinkle the additional 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots for an extra cheesy layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy on top, and the casserole is bubbling around the edges.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 55 minutes | Servings: 6-8

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve hot, garnished with extra chopped green onions on top for a fresh pop of color. Place individual servings on plates to highlight the crispy tater tot topping.
