To make creamy beef and shells, you need a few key ingredients. Start with 1 pound of ground beef. This gives the dish its rich flavor. You also need 1 small onion, diced, and 2 cloves of minced garlic. These add a nice aroma and taste. For the pasta, use 1 ½ cups of uncooked shell pasta. This shape holds the creamy sauce well. You need 1 cup of beef broth to cook the pasta and add depth. The creaminess comes from 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Finally, season with 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Don’t forget 2 tablespoons of olive oil for cooking. Fresh parsley adds a lovely touch as a garnish.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 ½ cups uncooked shell pasta

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent—about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Break the beef apart with a spatula and cook until browned, approximately 6-8 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Stir in the beef broth and uncooked shell pasta. Bring the mixture to a boil. Cover the skillet and reduce heat to low, letting it simmer for about 12-15 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.

Once the pasta is cooked, pour in the heavy cream and stir until well combined. Let it simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
