Ingredients

2 cups penne pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Penne: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the diced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Garlic and Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 4-5 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.

Make the Creamy Sauce: Reduce the heat to low. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add in the Italian seasoning and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine: Stir in the cooked penne pasta and the sautéed chicken into the skillet. Mix well until everything is coated in the creamy sauce. Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and combined. Adjust seasoning with extra salt, pepper, or Italian seasoning to taste.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious creamy broccoli and chicken penne!
