12 oz. fettuccine pasta

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

    Prepare the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the sliced chicken with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium, and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

        Make the sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add the dried Italian herbs and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
