Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried parsley

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Salmon: Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Sear the Salmon: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy, then carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.

Add Cream and Broth: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Season the Sauce: Stir in the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, thyme, basil, and parsley. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.

Combine Salmon and Sauce: Return the seared salmon to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over each fillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side. Pair with your favorite side dish like roasted vegetables or garlic mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
