Ingredients

8 oz elbow macaroni

4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, cubed

4 cups milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni for 3-4 minutes until slightly undercooked (it will continue cooking in the Crock Pot). Drain and set aside.

Mix the Cheeses: In a bowl, combine the shredded sharp cheddar cheese and cream cheese. Set aside.

Combining Ingredients: In the Crock Pot, add the drained macaroni, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and Dijon mustard. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Add Cheese: Gently fold in the cheese mixture until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cook: Cover and cook on low for 2.5 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally until the macaroni has absorbed the flavors and the cheese sauce is creamy.

Optional Topping: If you’d like a crunchy topping, sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the mac and cheese in the last 15 minutes of cooking, covering the Crock Pot again to allow them to crisp up.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, stir the mac and cheese to ensure all ingredients are well mixed before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color.
