Ingredients

4 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat

2 tablespoons smoked paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

2 teaspoons cumin

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup BBQ sauce (plus more for serving)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

4 hamburger buns (for serving)

Coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, black pepper, and salt. This blend will give your pork a rich flavor.

Rub the spice mix all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it’s well coated.

Place the seasoned pork shoulder into the crockpot.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until thoroughly combined.

Pour the mixture over the pork shoulder in the crockpot, making sure to cover it completely.

Cover the crockpot with the lid and set it to low. Cook for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Once cooked, remove the pork from the crockpot and place it on a cutting board. Let it rest for a few minutes.

Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded pork to the crockpot and stir it into the cooking juices for added flavor.

Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns with additional BBQ sauce and top with coleslaw if desired.

                    Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 8-10 hrs | Servings: 4-6

                      - Presentation Tips: For a lovely serving display, use a rustic wooden board. Place the pulled pork in a separate bowl next to the buns and coleslaw, allowing guests to assemble their own sandwiches. Garnish with fresh parsley for an added touch.
