Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Gruyère cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine heavy cream and half of the Gruyère cheese. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.

In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with the remaining Gruyère, Parmesan cheese, and the remaining tablespoon of melted butter. Blend until crumbly.

In a greased baking dish, layer the garlic shrimp evenly on the bottom. Pour the creamy cheese mixture over the shrimp, ensuring they're well coated.

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the gratin.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
