Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

4 slices of ham (preferably smoked or honey)

4 slices of Swiss cheese

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Gently pound them with a meat mallet until they are about 1/2 inch thick.

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

On each chicken breast, layer a slice of ham followed by a slice of Swiss cheese. Roll the chicken tightly and secure it with toothpicks if necessary.

Set up a breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

Dredge each chicken roll first in the flour, then dip in the eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.

In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Carefully add the chicken rolls and sear on all sides until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side). Once browned, transfer the chicken to a baking dish.

In a small saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice over low heat until heated through. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken in the baking dish.

Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).

Remove from the oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
