Ingredients

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)

1 cup milk

1 cup heavy cream

4 large eggs

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and set aside.

Open the can of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Spread them evenly in the bottom of the greased baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Pour the egg mixture over the biscuit pieces in the baking dish, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the egg mixture, followed by the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is puffed up, the biscuits are cooked through, and the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then cut into squares to serve.
