Ingredients

1 package refrigerated croissant dough (8 oz)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a standard muffin tin with non-stick spray or butter.

Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into individual triangles. Using a rolling pin, gently flatten each triangle to create a larger base.

In a mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Take one triangle of dough and place a generous tablespoon of the cheese mixture at the wide end. Roll the dough tightly towards the pointed end, creating a cruffin shape. Repeat for the remaining triangles.

Place the rolled cruffins in the greased muffin tin, standing them upright. Brush the cruffins with melted butter to help them crisp and brown.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.

Remove the cruffins from the oven and let cool for a few minutes in the tin before transferring them to a wire rack.

Garnish with chopped chives before serving for a pop of color and flavor.
