Ingredients

4 cups water

4 black tea bags (or green tea bags for a lighter flavor)

1 orange, zested and juiced

2 cinnamon sticks

¼ cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Orange slices for garnish

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags and cinnamon sticks. Let it steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you want the tea.

Remove the tea bags and cinnamon sticks from the pot. Stir in the honey (or agave syrup) while the tea is still warm to help it dissolve.

Add the freshly squeezed orange juice and orange zest to the sweetened tea, mixing well.

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled (about 1-2 hours).

Serve the iced tea over ice cubes in tall glasses, garnished with fresh mint leaves and a slice of orange for an extra touch.
