Ingredients

6 large buttery croissants, cut into halves

1 cup cooked ham, diced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

6 large eggs

2 cups whole milk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chives, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In the baking dish, arrange the croissant halves in a single layer, cut side up.

Evenly sprinkle the diced ham over the croissants, distributing it well.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Slowly pour the egg mixture over the croissants and ham, ensuring everything is soaked well.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Swiss cheese generously over the top of the casserole.

Using a spatula, gently press the ingredients down to make sure the croissants absorb the egg mixture perfectly.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the egg mixture is cooked through.

Allow the casserole to cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Garnish with finely chopped chives before serving.

                        Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 6

                          - Presentation Tips: Serve the casserole in squares with a side of fresh fruit or salad. A drizzle of hollandaise sauce can elevate the dish even further if desired.
