Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

1 cup buttermilk, chilled

2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Add the cold, cubed butter into the flour mix. Using a pastry cutter or your fingertips, work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Pour in the chilled buttermilk and honey. Gently mix until just combined; be careful not to overwork the dough. It should be slightly sticky.

Dust a clean surface with a little flour, then turn the dough out onto it. Pat the dough out gently into a rectangle about 1 inch thick.

Using a round biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits from the dough. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are touching each other.

Gather any scraps of dough and re-pat to cut out additional biscuits, ensuring you handle the dough as little as possible to maintain fluffiness.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 30 min | Servings: 12 biscuits

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve warm with a pat of butter and a drizzle of honey on top for extra sweetness. Consider placing a few fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme alongside for a pop of color.
