Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

1 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon honey (optional for a hint of sweetness)

1 teaspoon garlic powder (for a unique twist)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder until combined.

Add the cold butter pieces to the flour mixture. Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, quickly work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, sour cream, and honey (if using) until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the flour mixture and gently stir with a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay!

Using a large spoon or an ice cream scoop, scoop generous portions of the dough (about the size of a baseball) onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each biscuit as they will spread.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the biscuits have risen beautifully.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the biscuits warm with a pat of butter on top and a drizzle of honey or jam on the side for a delightful touch. You can also stack them in a breadbasket lined with a clean kitchen towel for a rustic presentation.
