Ingredients

12 slider buns

1 lb thinly sliced roast beef

1 cup beef broth

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 medium onion, finely sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh thyme, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Caramelized Onions: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden and caramelized. Add the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat.

Warm the Roast Beef: In a saucepan, heat the beef broth over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced roast beef to the broth and warm it gently, ensuring it doesn't get overcooked. Stir occasionally – this should take about 5 minutes.

Assemble the Sliders: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking dish. Layer a generous portion of the warmed roast beef on each bun, followed by a spoonful of the caramelized onions and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.

Top the Sliders: Place the top halves of the slider buns on each sandwich. Optional: brush a bit of melted butter on top for extra flavor.

Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 10 minutes to melt the cheese, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp the tops.

Serve with Au Jus: Carefully remove the sliders from the oven, and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with a small bowl of the beef broth as an au jus for dipping.

Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 35 min | Servings: 12 sliders

                - Optional Presentation Tips: Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs and serve the sliders on a wooden board. Place the au jus in charming little ramekins for an appealing touch.
