Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

2 large onions, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

Salt and pepper to taste

4 cups cooked egg noodles

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup French fried onions (for topping)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring frequently, until they are soft and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 2 minutes.

Push the onions to the side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to combine the flavors.

In a large baking dish, combine the cooked egg noodles with the beef and onion mixture, mixing well to combine.

Top with shredded cheddar cheese, spreading it evenly across the casserole.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil, sprinkle the French fried onions on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
