Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

1 cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

6 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Extra butter for brushing

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine the warm water and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast over the top. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and melted butter.

Stir the mixture until a shaggy dough forms, then transfer it to a floured surface. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the garlic herb butter by combining the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, oregano, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish, spaced slightly apart.

Brush the tops of the rolls generously with the garlic herb butter. Cover the baking dish with a towel and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes, then brush with any remaining garlic herb butter before serving.

Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 2 hours (including rising) | Servings: 12 rolls

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the garlic bread rolls warm on a rustic wooden board, garnished with sprigs of parsley for a pop of color. Consider pairing with a small bowl of marinara sauce for dipping!
