Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Lemon wedges (for serving, optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Allow them to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Sear the Chops: Add the pork chops to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them, until a golden brown crust forms. Flip the chops and cook for another 4-5 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove the chops from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is golden and fragrant.

Combine and Serve: Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them to coat. Allow to cook in the sauce for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Garnish and Enjoy: Remove the skillet from heat, transfer the pork chops to a serving platter, and drizzle the remaining garlic butter sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side if desired.
