Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cups broccoli florets

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 lemon, sliced (for serving)

Instructions

Begin by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the broccoli florets and blanch for 2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Remove them using a slotted spoon and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute or until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, then cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turns pink and opaque.

Add the blanched broccoli to the skillet and drizzle the lemon juice over the entire mixture. Stir gently to combine and ensure the broccoli is heated through.

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and evenly distributed. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon slices on the side.
