Ingredients

3 cups of all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp salt

1 cup warm milk (110°F)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 tablespoons garlic powder

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for coating)

Extra Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate large bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, and salt.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the yeast mixture and 1/4 cup melted butter into the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough begins to form.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape the Dough: Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces (about 1-inch balls).

Coat the Dough: In a bowl, mix together melted butter, garlic powder, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Dip each dough ball into the butter mixture, then roll them in the remaining Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.

Layer the Dough: Grease a bundt pan and layer the coated dough balls evenly inside, sprinkling additional cheese and parsley between layers.

Final Rise: Cover the pan with a towel and let the dough rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) during this time.

Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. A toothpick inserted should come out clean.

Cool and Serve: Allow the monkey bread to cool slightly before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm, pulling apart the pieces and enjoy with marinara sauce, if desired.
