Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel. This ensures a nice sear. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

Prepare Bread Crust: In a shallow bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. This will create a delicious crust.

Coat the Pork Chops: Drizzle each seasoned pork chop with olive oil, then press them firmly into the breadcrumb mixture to fully coat both sides. Ensure they are evenly coated for a crispy texture.

Sear the Chops: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the butter and an additional tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should be 145°F / 63°C). Remove the chops and let them rest on a plate.

Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Make sure to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet to incorporate that flavor into the sauce.

Combine and Serve: Once the garlic is fragrant, drizzle any remaining juices from the rested pork chops back into the skillet. Mix to combine and pour this over the pork chops. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Plate: Serve the Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops hot, with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
