Ingredients

500g strong white bread flour

10g sea salt

7g instant yeast

325ml warm water

1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the strong white bread flour and sea salt, making sure to keep the salt away from the yeast to avoid any deactivation.

In a separate bowl, dissolve the instant yeast in warm water. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the yeast mixture along with the olive oil.

Using your hands or a wooden spoon, mix the ingredients until they begin to come together, forming a shaggy dough.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl, covering it with a damp cloth. Allow it to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release any air bubbles, then turn it onto a floured surface.

Divide the dough into 2 equal portions for large pizzas or keep it whole for a family-sized pizza. Shape it into a ball and let it rest for about 15 minutes.

Roll out the dough to your desired thickness, then place it on a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Top with your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings, and bake in a preheated oven at 250°C (482°F) for about 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.

Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins | Servings: 2 large pizzas
