Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz mushrooms, sliced

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 cup beef broth

1 cup sour cream

2 tbsp flour

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked egg noodles or rice (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. When hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Once cooked, remove the beef and set it aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add the minced garlic and mushrooms, sautéing until mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.

Create the Sauce: Sprinkle the flour over the cooked vegetables, stirring to combine. Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard. Return the browned ground beef to the skillet and mix well. Reduce the heat to low.

Finish with Sour Cream: Once the mixture is heated through, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the sour cream until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary.

Serve: Serve the Beef Stroganoff over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
