Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup diced cooked ham

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup sliced green onions (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder until thoroughly combined.

Add the shredded cheddar cheese and diced ham to the flour mixture, and stir until evenly distributed.

Pour in the buttermilk and melted butter, and mix gently until just combined. Do not over-mix; the dough should be slightly lumpy.

Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the greased baking dish, spacing them closely together. They should be touching slightly.

If using green onions, sprinkle them over the biscuit dough for added flavor and color.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.

Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool in the dish for 5 minutes before serving.

                  Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 12

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the biscuits warm, directly in the baking dish, or transfer them to a wire rack. Garnish with extra green onions or a drizzle of melted butter on top for added appeal. Enjoy them freshly baked for the best flavor!
