Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 slices of deli ham

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded Swiss cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined to form the stuffing.

Take each chicken breast and gently slice a pocket into the side without cutting all the way through. Season the chicken pockets with salt and pepper.

Stuff each chicken pocket with 2 slices of ham and a generous portion of the cheese mixture. Ensure the filling is packed well.

Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one bowl, the beaten eggs in another bowl, and the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

Dredge each stuffed chicken breast first in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Once cooked, remove from the oven and allow to rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Serve garnished with fresh chopped parsley for an added touch.

                      Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the stuffed chicken on a rustic wooden cutting board, garnished with additional parsley and lemon wedges for a pop of color. Pair with roasted vegetables or a light salad on the side for a complete meal.
