Ingredients

8 Hawaiian sweet rolls

4 large eggs

1 cup milk (or coconut milk for a tropical twist)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for cooking)

Maple syrup (for serving)

Fresh pineapple slices (for garnish)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar until well combined.

Cut each Hawaiian roll in half and gently soak them in the egg mixture for about 2-3 minutes per side, allowing them to absorb the liquid.

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt and coat the pan.

Place the soaked Hawaiian rolls on the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and slightly crispy.

Remove the French toast from the skillet and keep warm. Repeat the process with remaining rolls.

Serve the Hawaiian roll French toast drizzled with maple syrup, topped with fresh pineapple slices, and a light dusting of powdered sugar.
