Ingredients

1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

1 lb ground beef

1 cup diced onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup frozen corn

1 cup diced potatoes (you can use pre-cooked for quicker prep)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp dried thyme

½ cup beef broth

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Sauté the vegetables: Add the diced onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.

Combine the filling: Mix in the frozen corn, potatoes, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Stir well to combine.

Add liquids: Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until everything is well mixed. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes until heated through.

Prepare the pie crust: Line your pie dish with the pre-made pie crust, trimming any excess.

Add the filling: Pour the beef and vegetable mixture into the crust, spreading it evenly.

Top with cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top evenly.

Cover with crust: If desired, you can add a second layer of pie crust on top. Cut slits in the crust to allow steam to escape. Brush the top with an egg wash (beaten egg mixed with a splash of water) for a golden finish.

Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Cool and serve: Let the pie cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
