Ingredients

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup beef bouillon powder (or mushroom bouillon for a vegetarian version)

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon dried parsley

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a kick)

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, beef bouillon powder, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well using a whisk to ensure there are no lumps.

Add the black pepper, dried thyme, salt, smoked paprika, dried parsley, and cayenne pepper (if using). Whisk again until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Transfer the mixture into an airtight container or jar. Seal tightly and store in a cool, dry place. This mix can be stored for up to 6 months.

To prepare gravy, take 1/4 cup of the brown gravy mix and add it to 2 cups of cold water in a saucepan.

Stir the mixture well before placing it on medium heat. Continuously whisk as it heats to prevent lumps from forming.

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the gravy thickens to your desired consistency.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. If it’s too thick, add a little more water until the desired consistency is reached.

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Total Time: 10 minutes | Servings: Makes about 2 batches of gravy that serves 4-6

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the gravy hot over mashed potatoes or meat dishes in a gravy boat for an inviting touch. Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for added color.
