Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for sheen)

Instructions

Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling:

    - In a medium mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined. The mixture should be moldable but not too sticky.

      Shape the Eggs:

        - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using your hands, take a spoonful of the peanut butter mixture and shape it into an egg-like form (about 1-2 inches long). Place the formed eggs on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all the mixture is used, then refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.

          Melt the Chocolate:

            - In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.

              Coat the Peanut Butter Eggs:

                - Using a fork, dip each peanut butter egg into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off before placing it back on the parchment paper. Ensure each egg is well coated.

                  Chill Again:

                    - Once all the eggs are coated, place the baking sheet back in the refrigerator for an additional 30-60 minutes until the chocolate is set.

                      Serve and Enjoy:

                        - Once the chocolate is firm, your homemade Reese's eggs are ready to serve! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
