Ingredients

1 pack of wonton wrappers (about 30 wrappers)

1 cup ground pork

1/2 cup shrimp, peeled and chopped

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

4 cups chicken broth

1 cup bok choy, chopped

1 carrot, sliced thinly

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, green onions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling mixture in the center. Moisten the edges with a bit of water, fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle, and press to seal. Bring the two edges together and pinch to form a wonton shape. Repeat with remaining wrappers.

In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a gentle boil. Add the sliced carrots and cook for about 3 minutes until slightly tender.

Carefully add the wontons to the pot and let them cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface and the wrappers become translucent.

Stir in the bok choy and cook for an additional 2 minutes, until wilted.

Taste the broth and adjust seasoning as needed.

Serve the soup hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
